Our Mystery Author this round... or should I say, Mystery Authors... is Alanna Coca, aka Olivia Brynn. Writing under two names, Alanna brings her readers everything from sweet and tender to hot and steamy.
After you've read her interview below visit her at her websites:

Thanks Alanna! And Olivia, too!
1. Tell us about yourself. Single? Married? Kids? PTO Mom?

Hmm, I don't even know what a PTO mom is, so I guess that's out. Unless PTO stands for Perfectly Talented Old Mom, but I don't consider myself old yet either. I am a mother, which is seriously the hardest job in the world. They should have training seminars for parenthood! I hope I don't screw up my kids too much.
2. Tell us about growing up as part of such a large family in a small Wyoming town.

At the time, I wanted to be an only child. Although we had two bathrooms, seven out of the nine of us were female, so two really isn't enough. Now, my sisters are my best friends. I'm pretty sure my mother should be cannonized. She's my hero.A big family usually means a tight budget. I learned how to stretch out a gallon of orange juice with a few extra cups of water, and I learned how to shower in three minutes flat. Looking back, it was a wonderful way to grow up, but I'd never have seven kids.
As far as the small town goes, I grew up in one of the larger cities in Wyoming. We have street lights, two fire stations, four Subway restaurants, and one Wal Mart. What more do we need? I grew up just a two hour drive to Denver, CO, so close enough to get my fill of big city life. We're surrounded by mountains, so in fifteen minutes I could be in the middle of nowhere, which is sometimes a real treat.
Are you the youngest, oldest or a middle child?

I
have four older and two younger siblings. So I guess I'm somewhere in the
middle. A pretty good position to be in, when you consider the hand-me-down-clothing situation.
3. What do you like to do when you are not writing?

I think about writing. Or I eat or sleep, but only when absolutely necessary.
4. Tell us about your alter ego, Olivia Brynn.

Olivia is the part of me that would have been grounded more often than not. Oh wait, I was grounded an awful lot. Olivia is the part of me that got me in trouble. She doesn't know how to censor herself. The little devil on her shoulder ate the angel on the other side. I love her.
5. When and why did you decide to write books under two dfferent names?

I wrote FOR A PRICE, my second book in record time. I didn't do any editing or plotting...the book just wrote itself. When I read through it, I realized that the style wasn't the same as my first book WYOMING SOLACE. It was steamy and explicit. I decided to submit it under a pen name so that my readers wouldn't be shocked.
6. What are the difference between the two? Do you find one style easier to write than the other?

Olivia copied my style. Remember those annoying girls in high school who dressed like you? She's like that. Really the only difference is the heat level between the stories. Olivia needs her mouth washed out with soap.
No, one isn't harder than the other. Often I have the book half-written before I have to decide which personality is behind the keyboard.
7. Tell us about your (Alanna's) new release?

My latest release is FINE PRINT. It's a contemporary romance, with a bit of suspense thrown in there, because I like to surprise my readers. The heroine, Kara, is a bit on the anal side. Everything has to be just so. She was widowed before she could start a family, and she thinks the best way to rectify that is by going through the artificial insemination process. She's got everything figured out, until she finds the man she wants as the father of her child. Derek is an easy-going guy, who loves to tease and laugh. He has the great idea to cut out the middle man in Kara's insemination contract. Why involve a clinic when he has all the right equipment to inseminate Kara.
I have a trailer and character profiles up on my website at
http://alannacoca.com/books/fine-print and it's available as an ebook from Liquid Silver Books at
http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/books/fineprint.htm. I sent the file to Create Space for anyone wanting a paperback, and that link is on my website.
8. And what is Olivia up to?

Olivia's last book FALLING STAR came out in December. She's hard at work on a contemporary western that I'm hoping will go into an anthology with a couple of other western authors. She's easily distracted though, so I have to taunt her with chocolate and brandy to get any work out of her.
