1. How did you begin writing romance?

I read romance for years and always thought to myself, “I should write a book one day.” Then one day happened! It was a total fluke. I began writing and couldn’t stop.
2. What is your family's reaction to your writing? Were they surprised when you began?

My family is very proud of me. I’m so fortunate to have a very supporting husband. I think initially, they were surprised, but after I attended my first RWA conference, they knew I was serious.
3. Tell us about your family?

I have a husband, three kids, two dogs, and two cats. A real houseful when everyone is together! My oldest lives in Tampa and my middle one is a sophomore in college. My youngest is a senior in high school and applying to colleges all over the country. I expect it will be very quiet next year in my house (except for those dogs and cats.)
4. What exactly is Bunco? I've never heard of it but it sounds like fun - especially if frozen margaritas are involved! ;)

Bunco is a blast! It’s a progressive dice game played by women (think poker but with dice, gossip, and frozen margaritas instead of cigars and beer). It’s a great opportunity for women to socialize.
5. Tell us about the "Bunco Broads"? How many ladies are in your group? Is it still the same people that you started playing with back in 1992?

The Bunco Broads is the name we’ve given to the Bunco group I play with. We’ve been together for over 12 years now. I began playing Bunco when I lived in Austin, Texas. I was immediately hooked and when our family moved to Tallahassee, I started my own group.
6. You work part time as a labor and delivery nurse. It sounds like an interesting job - dealing with women in labor. What is one of the more unusual or memorable situations you've had?

Oh my gosh. There are so many! The unusual situations, most people wouldn’t believe. You’ve heard the old adage, truth is stranger than fiction? It’s absolutely true. The memorable ones are the ones that stick in my head, though. The woman who has tried for years to have a baby, then finally conceives and develops high blood pressure and has to stay in the hospital for months. Those are the patients you remember. The women who struggle to have a baby, and then it happens for them. It’s always a proud moment for me to be able to be a part of someone’s special day.
7. I noticed you have holiday movie quotes on your website. What are your top 5 favorite holiday movies.

It’s A Wonderful Life
Home Alone
The Family
Man Miracle on 34th Street
Die Hard
