Your new book is THE COMFORTS OF HOME. Can you tell us about it?
I believe it’s my best book. A modern day cowboy who is looking for a reason to die runs into a doctor who spends her life trying to keep people alive. You’re going to love Tinch and Addison!!
As always, my books are about several people and their lives mixing together in a small town. Readers will come along with them as they fall in love, grow and learn to survive no matter what happens.
Where did you get the idea for this series?
I think the spark of the idea came years ago when I was a kid. Every summer I would go to a small town and spend a few weeks visiting my Aunt Dixie and Uncle Leroy. He was in the rodeo association and he’d leave a saddled horse for me every morning. I could ride all over town. I remembered feeling safe in such a little town and I found everything interesting. From those days began the seed of Harmony.
Of all your books, which one stands out for you the most?
I love them all but I feel like JUST DOWN THE ROAD is the first book were everything came together just like I wanted it to.
What do you like to do in your free time?
My office is on the campus of West Texas A&M University and I love spending time with students who dream of becoming writers. The perfect afternoon is sitting back and listening to them read..
What's next for you? What are you working on now?
I’m working on a Whispering Mountain historical right now and loving it. As always I have lots of people running around and my job as a writer is trying to get them all to stop talking at once in my head so I can get the story down!
