GEORGIANNA

Author: Marian Pope Rettke ISBN:0515056561 1981

A Rector's Daughter and a London Rake match wills in a combat of love!...

Georgiana Morland, up from the country, had to settle her twin brother's gambling debt in gold or blood. So she confronted the Honourable Viscount Garth, and made an impression on him that was hard to forget. Never before had a young lady in--or out--of her Season taken aim at the greatest prize in the marriage mart--with a pistol! Here indeed was a beauty to be reckoned with! But, alas for Georgiana, the gambler she came to dispatch turned out to be a rake she couldn't resist!

READER'S COMMENTS:

This was my first regency romance, and I've read it many times over the years. I've always looked for books with the same zest and witty dialogue as I've found in this one.

I think these lines from the back cover say it all...

"Never before had a young lady in—or out—of her Season taken aim at the greatest prize in the marriage mart-with a pistol!"
