RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:4 Rose Read

Harry has had a crush on Lanie for what seems like forever. The problem is he’s too shy to ask her out. She’s a Las Vegas showgirl and he’s sure she would have nothing to do with a nerdy accountant. When she’s in need of a babysitter for her son, Harry steps in to fill the bill. But, when her ex-boyfriend comes to town and attempts to kidnap her son, Harry jumps in to save the day.

This book is absolutely adorable. The minute I met Harry, I loved him. He was so sweet, and yes, a nerd, but something about the way he played with Dexter was appealing. The attraction between Harry and Lainie is thick and steamy, from the start. I enjoyed the fact that each had starred in the other’s sexual fantasies. Dexter, Lainie’s four-year-old genius son, is cute and definitely not annoying the way kids sometimes are in books.

The cast of secondary characters, especially Harry’s ex-showgirl mother and her friends, are hilarious. I laughed and smiled all through their scenes. In fact, they steal the scenes they are in and make the book. I wouldn’t have had so much fun without those ladies.

NERD is very entertaining and I had a great time while reading it. It’s a rollicking good time from start to finish. I highly recommend it!
