DOUBLE TIME

It was another crazy mission. Allegro and Largo thought they’d seen the toughest test two semi-competent, always bickering fairies from the magical, musical kingdom of Quelgheny could see, but again they were being asked the impossible. Get the duke of Chillhart, Grant Hale, to fall in love with the daughter of a criminal? Why, even if she was better than her thieving sire, even if she had fit herself into Regency society, Lauren’s father had incited Grant’s to kill himself! Her features were winsome and she smelled of wildflowers, but how would anyone see Lauren had an inner beauty to match? For these two humans to find harmony, they’d have to be…

ENCHANTED BY MAGIC

Luckily, magic was just what Largo and Allegro had...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Cute, witty, fun, and unique are the best words I can come up with to describe Gloria Harchar's, ENCHANTED BY MAGIC. If you like fairies and trolls, interfering siblings and brooding heroes, this is the one for you.

The premise of the book, that muscial fairies in the magical land of Jubilant control humans and their fate with a magical ruby and can inprison trolls with an enchanted harp, is quite unusual and frankly very cool. It is a refreshing plot and I compliment Gloria Harchar on putting a new spin on fairy tales.

The love story, however, was merely lukewarm despite the storyline that the hero and heroine must fall in love or risk the whole of England's demise. I didn't feel the connection between Lauren and Grant the way I wanted to. Something about Grant and his magical sword just does not fit for me. The characters trying to get Lauren to fall for him are more interesting and real.

All in all, it is a magical read if you are looking for it!
