Seducing Brodie MacKay

Brodie MacKay, the village blacksmith, worships Lorna, the voluptuous Countess of Kirkmoor, from afar. When she propositions him, Brodie almost succumbs until he realizes she has an agenda--one which may cost him not only his birthright, but his life. Refusing to take no for an answer, Lorna uses all her wiles and persists in Seducing Brodie MacKay....

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Lorna, Countess of Kirkmoor hated her husband Colin. He was not only cruel to the clan, but had abused her on occasion. When he died from a fall from his horse, she decided to pretend she was pregnant so she could still take care of the clan. It would take months for the nephew, Ewan, to get home from Barbados. She was very attracted to Brodie MacKay, and if she could have him get her pregnant and she delivered a boy, she could pass it off a her husband’s and stay with the clan as their leader until the boy came of age.

Brodie MacKay was nothing but a blacksmith. Yet he knew that somewhere in the castle papers were hid to prove he was the legitimate heir to the lairdship. If he could only find them, now that Colin was dead, he could take his rightful place and prove he was no bastard.

He had always been physically attracted to Lorna and knew she wanted him also. If he took her up on her proposition he could have her, but his bairn would be raised as Colin’s child. Could he bear for that to happen? That the child would not know he was the real father? And there was the problem that someone was trying to murder either him or Lorna. Who could the killer be, and why would he or she want them dead?
