THE CONQUEROR Author: Tracy L. Ranson ISBN:1586082124 6/2003 HISTORICAL Publisher: NEW CONCEPTS PUBLISHING
A medieval story of the good brother fighting the bad brother to reclaim his inheritance. Kieran of Stratford, home from fighting for the church, found everything he had held dear gone. Odette, the woman he had once betrothed, had married his brother and had been cruelly murdered by him. Though his heart had always been given to Constance, Duchess of Ravenwood, he still felt he owed her to fight against his brother for justice. Constance had always loved Kieran, though he had mocked her in their youth with cruel words. Now he needed her to lend him her army to fight against his evil brother. She denied his wish again and again. Now he insisted that he love her. Was it just a ruse to get her to lend her aid? THE CONQUEROR by Tracy L. Ranson is a love story about two people that really had loved each other since childhood, though neither knew or would admit it until they are thrown together as adults on a single quest. The book read a little slow, though the story line was good. I would still read Ms. Ranson again as she writes believable characters and a good plot. Mariah LeGrand |
