Putting Boys on the Ledge by Stephie Davis

You like a boy, but he blows you off. You're bummed out. Guess what? You're on The Ledge. It's a rotten place to be, which is why boys belong out there, not girls! Keep boys out on The Ledge and they'll never be able to hurt you.

Sounds great, huh? Not to Blue Waller Why would she want to put a gorgeous senior on The Ledge just when he's starting to notice her? But if she doesn't, will he end up breaking her heart?

Blue—that's short for Blueberry—is cursed with the worst name on the planet, parents that seriously hamper her social life, and the figure of her eight-year-old sister. Good thing she has three best friends to help her find true love—even if it means braving The Ledge.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

When Blue Waller gains the attentions of a hottie senior, she is determined to play it cool. Should she keep him guessing about her feelings? Will that keep him interested or will she miss her big chance?

Stephie Davis has a bright future in teen fiction, completely convincing in her depiction of the self-absorbed, but insecure teen. Blue's behavior and reactions reminded me of the teens that I know. I liked her almost from the start and was just hoping that she'd finally see the jerk in Heath and the hero in Colin. Davis's book is highly entertaining and I think Blue and her friends will be just as popular as Katy Maxwell's Emily (THE YEAR MY LIFE WENT DOWN THE LOO, THEY WEAR WHAT UNDER THEIR KILTS?). I'll be looking forward to the next in the series in the fall. .
