ISN'T IT ROMANTIC?

Author: Ellen Fisher ISBN: 1586084283 5/2004 CONTEMPORARY Publisher: New Concepts Publishing

Kipling Stanton is an out-of-work actor who tries to escape the glare of the spotlight by moving from California to smalltown Virginia. When he falls for the slightly loopy girl next door, Cody Lang, he tries to prevent her from finding out who he is... but how can he keep his secret when Cody's best friend is one of his biggest fans?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Cody Lang was working in her yard when her neighbor caught her attention. After talking to him only a few minutes, she decided he would be perfect for decoy for her father. She talked to him about her predicament and convinced him to pretend to be her husband to fool her father. She had lied and told him she had eloped.

Kipling Stanton, a famous movie star, was hiding in this neighborhood to get away from the limelight of Los Angeles. His series had just ended and he had wanted to be just a regular guy in the neighborhood. Now, his sexy neighbor who didn't recognize him had asked him to pretend to be her husband. Not only had he agreed, but he had also allowed her to dye his long, blonde hair black. Then she had told him that her best friend was a fan of his and never missed his show. How was he going to stay away from the friend and still pretend to be Cody's husband?

ISN'T IT ROMANTIC? by Ellen Fisher is a short, fast-paced read. The humor takes you from the first page to the last with two great characters. The sexual tension burns hot and sudden between the two, and the ending brings a feeling of satisfaction for both. I recommend this author as an enjoyable read and look forward to her next novel.
