Undercover Trouble by Carol McPhee

The Harley-Davidson revs up when it passes in the night. Jen Murray needs quiet to deal with her tragedy. Circumstance calls for confrontation. She knows all about confrontation. Undercover cop Mitch Waverley learns that his ticket to a biker gang's confidence is the elimination of the cranky witch living next door.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

The mystery behind the shooting that involved Jen had me hooked! I could not wait to find out what happened and why.

When Mitch was introduced in the story, he seemed like a really tough guy you wouldn’t want to mess with. But before long, we learn that Mitch is a good guy working undercover to bust a major drug ring. Jen doesn’t learn that fact until a little later, which makes for some interesting predicaments, like when she ran through the woods naked after almost being intimate with Mitch.

Once the drug ring is busted, you would think that the drama would be over—not so! Jen still had to find out why she shot the biker named Jake. Mitch was so supportive of Jen with everything that happened and really wanted to help her. In the end, Jen faced some of her demons and was able to start moving ahead with her life, a life that included Mitch.

This was an action packed fun read, and one that I recommend.
