Persuasive Evidence by R. Barri Flowers

The law has always been Assistant District Attorney Jordan La Fontaine's life. Since her husband's death, she's worked nonstop to get the position of Bureau Chief of the Homicide Division, competing with fellow ADA Jerrod Wresler. But the law's taken on a whole new importance to Jordan now that her teenage son has been charged with a vicious murder-with Jerrod Wresler prosecuting.

Jordan turns to her late husband's law partner to battle Wresler in court, but she could never just sit back and watch while her son is on trial for his life. She knows the best way to clear his name is to find the real killer, so Jordan uses all the resources at her disposal to begin her own investigation. Will she discover the truth before the verdict comes in-and will she be able to prove it?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Raw, primal, thrilling, incredible—that’s how I would describe this book.

This is one of the best books that I have read. I was completely riveted from the first page. This is definitely not for readers who are queasy. The descriptions of the murders are incredibly graphic. Everything is explained down to the very last detail. Jordan La Fontaine is an incredibly strong heroine, and had me rooting for her from the beginning. The plot is really juicy and I had no idea how the story was going to end. I think that this book really looks at the primal aspect of human nature. From sexual intercourse to murder, you see the best and worst of people. I also really liked that the chapters were pretty short. Flowers obviously gave a lot of thought as to how to present this story and I believe that the end result is exceptional.

I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read more by Flowers.
