A Man in a Kilt by Sandy Blair

A Lonely Laird

Duncan MacDougall, the laird of Blackstone, was cursed centuries ago to wander as a ghost within the echoing walls of his island castle—and only one woman can free him. Can it be the new mistress of Blackstone, just arrived from over the sea? Duncan has heard that pretty Miss Elizabeth Pudding is no more than a cook—and she hails from a barbarous land called the Bronx. But she must learn the ways of a lady all the same—and she must stay at Blackstone for six long months to inherit. 'Tis time enough to teach her—and time enough to woo her…

An Enchanting Lady

Beth has seen the handsome specter from the day she crossed the threshold of Blackstone. Duncan MacDougall is a tall, translucent figure with black hair and piercing blue eyes. Yet a mist separates him from the land of the living…a mist as strong as cold steel. It is said that only love can dissolve it—and bring the man of her dreams to warm, breathing life...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:Top Pick Award

Oh, how I love a man in a kilt, and that is the title of this wonderful time-travel romance. A MAN IN A KILT is the debut book for Sandy Blair, with the next in this series, A ROGUE IN A KILT, coming out in December.

Duncan MacDougall, the laird of Blackstone, has been a ghost roaming the halls of his island castle for centuries after being cursed by his third wife's mother. For hundreds of years he has looked for the one woman who can break the curse.

Miss Elizabeth Pudding has just inherited a castle in Scotland with a very sexy ghost. Beth must live in the castle for six months for it to truly be hers, so she rolls up her sleeves to clean and repair her new home. While traveling to the mainland in her boat, she is caught in a storm. Duncan barley saves Beth. He carries her to his bed, slides open a secret panel, and retrieving a wedding ring transports Beth to his medieval time as his new bride.

When Beth opens her eyes, she stares into the sexy blue eyes of her now human ghost. Beth remembers Duncan, but he has no memory of the future or her. Can Beth save Duncan by loving him, when she is now living in a time that wives are to be obedient? Can she live with Duncan and his clan without her coffee, cell phone, and modern luxuries?

A MAN IN A KILT is a do-not-miss romance. Beth will have you laughing out loud as she wins the hearts of not only her laird, but his people. Duncan is a funny, mischievous ghost in the future, but when we travel to his time he is a strong, loyal man searching for his soul mate. The secondary characters are skillfully woven throughout the book and give readers hope for many future books by Ms. Blair.

A fire, a blanket and A MAN IN A KILT is the perfect tonic for a cold winter night. Excuse me now, I need to run out to find A ROGUE IN A KILT.
