If you insist on challenging a BF-stealing wannabe to a duel with one, use a fake sword rather than a real one. Sword cuts are so hard to explain to the parental units. . . 4. Don’t take no for an answer. Some guys need a little help seeing that you’re the best thing since someone figured out how to get glitter in lip gloss.

When I pick up an Emily book, I know that I’m in for a good time. I will be smiling from cover to cover, with a few chuckles thrown in. THE TAMING OF THE DRU was no exception. In the conclusion of the Emily quartet, Emily is at it again with her antics and zany theatrics. She finds a job at a local museum, which isn’t quite what she expected, the ghost is still living in her underwear drawer, and Fang brings home a girlfriend from New Zealand.

Fans of Louise Rennison’s Georgia Nicolson books (ANGUS, THONGS, AND FULL-FRONTAL SNOGGING) will just adore Emily Williams. Emily has that same sort of personality in which the reader can identify with her thoughts, but can’t believe her actions. I always think that things couldn’t be much worse for Emily and then she comes up with a completely off the wall plan. Ms. Maxwell has written another hit, and will leave readers clamoring for more of Emily’s adventures. I found all four of the books wildly entertaining and would highly recommend them.
