Double Exposure by Bonnie Hearn Hill
A PHONE CALL

Burdened with a devastating secret, the former mistress of an American president has chosen part-time reporter Reebie Mahoney as her confessor. There is only one condition: Reebie must meet her right away—tonight.

A DOUBLE LIFE

Standing outside the woman's door, Reebie hears a scream of blinding terror followed by a gunshot. When the door is finally forced open, Reebie is horrified to realize that the woman lying dead on the floor is no stranger.

A DOUBLE EXPOSURE

Within hours the building is swarming with San Francisco police and Reebie is their chief murder suspect. As she is dragged into a terrifying world where past and present collide, someone—a mobster, a television star, maybe Reebie herself—is going to die.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:4 Rose Read

While I will freely admit that I do not typically read romantic suspense novels, DOUBLE EXPOSURE had me glued to my seat! It is a very fast paced read with a lot of twists and turns that kept me wondering the entire time. One minute I thought that I had just about figured out what was going on, and in the next I was thrown for another loop. For me, that made for really good reading. If I am going to read a suspense novel, I do not want to know what the plot is about until the very last possible minute!

Ms. Hill also gives us a very interesting cast of characters, ranging from a President to a cosmetics saleswoman, and somehow manages to mesh them all together to make this story work very nicely. I enjoyed the blossoming romance between Reebie and Leo, not to mention the addition of Reebie's friend, Daph, and her dog, Chico. The story flew by for me and I found myself considering picking up another romantic suspense novel sometime in the future....who would've thought?
