Endangered by Magic by Gloria Harchar

The strange, musical, magical land of Jubilant will fade without the power of human love. That is why its pixies, Allegro and Largo, continually strive to make the necessary pairings: couples such as the tormented Nolan Monroe and spy Tessa Ballard-an unlikely duo whose swords will kiss before they do. But when Allegro's rogue of an uncle, Diminish, calls the faeries into his confidence, it is not to make a match. No, there is a new danger, one that threatens England, the whole of Europe and Largo's fiancée, too! The only solution is to see that true love conquers all. Until then, they are all...ENDANGERED BY MAGIC.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Faeries, pixies, shape-shifters, magic and of course, humans. Throw in romance and humor and you've got yourself the sequel to KISSED BY MAGIC called ENDANGERED BY MAGIC.

Allegro and Largo are back to matchmaking and they have their sights set on Nolan Monroe, the Earl McFearson and Tessa Ballard, a spy for the British crown. Just when all is well, their uncle Diminish informs Allegro and Largo that there is danger so great coming that involves all of Europe, and that it is up to them to try to stop it.

It's not that I didn't like ENDANGERED BY MAGIC; I think it was just that it took me awhile to get interested in reading the book. Once I was reading it, I did find the story interesting. The characters are well written, but I just didn't get to "love" them. I think that's another reason why it took me awhile to finish reading the book. Although it is a fantasy book, it is set in the Regency era—a real big plus for me. Putting all the pixies and magic aside, I was able to enjoy that aspect of it.

If you love fantasy books, I'm sure you'll like ENDANGERED BY MAGIC. If you've read Gloria Harcher's previous book, KISSED BY MAGIC and enjoyed it, then you're sure to like ENDANGERED BY MAGIC, too.
