Brides and Bouquets

When Mary lost her husband ten years ago; she never imagined love would come knocking again. When she and Glenn decide they want to marry and share happiness together, their children are against it. Can the grandchildren stop the madness so everyone can have a Merry Christmas?

Three romantic novellas centered around the wedding tradition.

            • Crystal Can Break by Linda Lattimer - What happens when your mother announces she's marrying again?
            • The Best Man for Kristie by Rebecca Goings - What do you do when you meet the perfect man, and you aren't?
            • Sukie's Dance by Laura Hamby - How to cope with your sister's wedding...to your ex-boyfriend?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

The first two stories in this anthology are quite good. The first, "Crystal Can Break," by Linda Lattimer, is a gentle story of two daughters coming to grips with their mother's remarriage. It was an interesting read because the characters were likable.

I especially liked the second short story, "The Best Man for Kristie." It was adorable with a very likable heroine whom I think could be one of my friends. The hero, Nick, is romantic and sweet.

However, I didn't particularly care for the third story, "Sukie's Dance." Sukie was understandably bitter over her ex-boyfriend marrying her sister. But understandable or not, Sukie was hard to warm up to which left it hard to enjoy the romance.
