Continuing the story of the Grayson line with Morgan, Ms. Ray strikes a home run with YOU AND NO OTHER. Morgan and Phoenix are the perfect example of a damsel in distress and her hero come to rescue her. Both play their parts to perfection. Phoenix is a beautiful, talented protégé to a world renowned art sculptor, but after one look Morgan knows that there is more to her than meets the eye. He decides that despite his better judgment he is going to find out what she is hiding. Phoenix is just as determined not to let him into her secrets and her past, which makes for a little bit of a bumpy ride for our hero. Morgan is not going to let Phoenix push him away, which I think makes for some of the best parts of the book. Along the way, Phoenix and Morgan find that they are falling in love, although neither of them will admit it. The way that they both fight what is happening between them, is great reading. It is nice to watch as they just throw in the towel and admit that they are in love—there is no helping it! There is no way any woman could resist a man like Morgan, no matter how hard she may try! Also, a huge factor in this love match is Morgan's family. His mother is the mastermind behind trying to get all of her children married off, but it is his brothers and sister that really bring the story that extra little bit of something. They are a wonderful, if a bit intrusive family, and they love Morgan with all of their hearts and will do anything for him and each other. Having a large, intrusive family myself, I know how very important they can be! Francis Ray writes a wonderful story with lots of love that will keep you glued to YOU AND NO OTHER until the very last page. Kristal Gorman |
