RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

What do you have when you take three handsome men, a woman who has "gifts" and a supernatural she-devil? You have Lexi Davis's first novel, PRETTY EVIL.

PRETTY EVIL is one of those stories that from the beginning you know it's going to be a fun ride!

Rice, Coach and Geffen just bought an old mansion in Beverly Hills, hoping to get rich by turning it into a place for the rich and famous to play. Unfortunately, the old owner still lives there, and she is not very happy with the new occupants.

Vixx, a she-devil, who has done 99 and three quarters of a 100-year-old sentence in the basement of what was once her demon brothel, must get the men to leave there, if she is to have it returned to her.

Luckily for the men, their best friend, Sunnie, has a "feeling" that something terribly wrong is about to happen, and she is praying and sticking by her friends all the while they're in the mansion. What Sunnie doesn't know, however, is that she's the only one who is going to be able to save her friends from this she-devil. The only way to get Rice, Coach and Geffen out of the mansion is for Vixx to take the form of each of the men's idea of the perfect female. Once she accomplishes that, she lures them into a spiral that will take them each on an emotional roller coaster and destroy what their safe lives were once like. Sunnie sees what is happening and knows what she must do to save her friends and banish the evil she-devil away, once and for all.

I had a good time reading PRETTY EVIL. Even though the men are considered "playahs", you can't help but like them (even if it's only a little). It's not often that I'll read a book and not totally hate the villain right away. Vixx, although she is evil, has a good time playing with the men in the beginning—especially Coach. However, that feeling didn't last long and you loathe her for what she is emotionally doing to these men and their families. Sunnie, in my opinion, is the glue that holds the story together. You can really feel the love Sunnie has for all her friends.

Lexi Davis not only wrote a fun and sexy book with PRETTY EVIL, but also a book about the bonds of friendship.
