THE UNFORGIVEN: RAPHAEL Author: Tracy L. Ranson ISBN: 1586086340 9/2005 PARANORMAL Publisher: NEW CONCEPTS PUBLISHING
When did it happen, girls? When did the blood-sucking, dead-hearted creature of the night replace the warm-blooded male? Are we so dissatisfied with real men (well, yeah, sometimes!) that we search for super creatures who live eternally, read minds, and think nothing of our populous except to eat our flesh to fulfill our fantasies? I, for one, refuse it! Okay, I'm done with the melodrama, but that's what "RAPHAEL" does to a reader. What melodrama! And, I understand that vampire stories are popular, especially in the erotic genre, but I really found little to like about the book. The character Raphael is sexy, no doubt, but he's dead inside. I don't find that romantic. Elizabeth has been reincarnated and doesn't know she's beautiful until Raphael finds her again and awakens her. To me, the story is unrealistic and silly. It bites, if you'll excuse the pun. Cynthia Whitten |
