Hers to Desire by Margaret Moore

Vivacious Lady Beatrice yearns to capture the heart of cynical, world-weary Sir Ranulf...but she's the daughter of a traitorous nobleman. Believing marriage to the man of her dreams impossible, she nevertheless dares to hope for at least one night of passion in his arms.

A knight with a past he'd prefer to forget, Ranulf believes he's too tainted to be worthy of the love of innocent, naive Bea. Yet from the moment he met her, a hope that happiness and contentment might yet be his began to blossom in his lonely heart.

Both Ranulf and Bea also have duties to perform -- Bea's brings her closer to Ranulf, while his puts her in mortal danger. Can he overcome the past that haunts him still to save her? And will "little Lady Bea" get the wish of her heart and have her night in Ranulf's bed?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

As sad as I am to see Margaret Moore's Brothers-in-Arms series come to an end, I am incredibly happy with the ending story. Beatrice and Ranulf's story was one that I had waited a long time for, and I was ecstatic to finally see how Bea got her man!

Lady Beatrice is a beautiful and headstrong young lady who has loved one man for as long as she has known him. The problem is that her reputation is tarnished because her father was a traitor who was executed for his crimes, and now she is left penniless and living off her wonderful cousin's charity. She feels as though she will never be able to find a man to marry her under those conditions and has no desire to marry anyone, except her beloved Ranulf, but he acts as though she doesn't even exist.

Ranulf absolutely knows that Beatrice exists. In fact, he knows so well that he has set out to deliberately change his own mind, as he knows that he can never have her due to the fact that he is just a landless knight with no place to call his own. When he is sent to Cornwall to take charge of his friend Merrick's castle, he thinks it will be the perfect way for him to get Bea out of his heart and mind, once and for all. Fortunately, Beatrice does not let us down and she embarks on a journey to win Ranulf, regardless of what it takes.

Ranulf and Beatrice have a beautiful story to tell, and Margaret Moore does it up with style and grace. It was great to see and hear from old friends and acquaintances, but Bea and Ranulf stole the show and made HERS TO DESIRE a must read for fans of Margaret Moore and romance alike.
