HARMONY'S WAY is a continuation of the series begun in MEGAN'S MARK. The heroine, Harmony Lancaster, is a Breed who escaped captivity at fifteen by killing many, including her own mother. She was saved by a vigilante and became the assassin Death, untouchable until mating fever overcomes her upon a meeting with Sheriff Lance Jacobs.

Mating fever affects them both, and is highly dangerous due to its weakening effect on Harmony. There is also the possibility that she might conceive a child. There are a lot of family and political forces out to get her, and she needs to remain strong to fight. But the biggest war is within herself, to find the ability to accept more emotions than just vengeance.

This is very steamy writing with characters drawn to each other physically rather than emotionally to start. I found the story line confusing, but that's probably because I haven't read the first book in the series. Not my cup of tea, but if you like kick-ass paranormal heroines, lots of sex and a complex plot, you'll probably enjoy the book.
