THE EDUCATION OF LADY FRANCES AND MISS CRESSWELL'S LONDON TRIUMPH Author: Evelyn Richardson ISBN: 0451217306 2/2006 HISTORICAL Publisher: SIGNET
I enjoyed reading THE EDUCATION OF LADY FRANCES and MISS CRESSWELL'S LONDON TRIUMPH both by Evelyn Richardson. THE EDUCATION OF LADY FRANCES, although I found it to be predictable, was nevertheless a good read. Lord Julian and Lady Frances are the typical regency hero and heroine. Lord Julian is the wealthy irresistible rake, and Lady Frances is the strong independent woman. Between clashes of wills and wits, these two find themselves attracted to each other. THE EDUCATION OF LADY FRANCES is a romantic story that has the ending of a fairy tale! MISS CRESSWELL'S LONDON TRIUMPH is the story of Lady Frances's sister Lady Cassie (Cassandra). Again, I found this story to be predictable, but still enjoyable. Lady Cassie has her eyes and then her heart set on Ned Mainwaring. But much to her dismay she is certain that he is in love with another. Of course, Ned is attracted to Lady Cassie - but he's not sure that she feels the same way. Happy endings are abound in MISS CRESSWELL'S LONDON TRIUMPH. Evelyn Richardson's THE EDUCATION OF LADY FRANCES and MISS CRESSWELL'S LONDON TRIUMPH are both enjoyable and romantic reads.
