Hunter's Arrow by Lori Libby

Myles Hunter is a man with much on his mind. He needs to find out who is killing men and leaving the bodies in his territory. The mystery is a matter of life and death. He knows the men, like him, are shape shifters. As leader of his pack, he has a seat on the League of Packs, the secret governing body of shifters. They are suspicious of him and the pack. The penalty for killing another shifter is death.

Belen Cass is a reporter out to make her career and break the story of Maine’s first serial killer dubbed the “The Slayer.” Tired of men in general, her career is the most important thing in her life. The story her top priority, her one chance to prove to everyone that she has what it takes to succeed.

Forced to work together, Hunter and Belen fight to find the Slayer before he strikes again. The two fight a powerful attraction that draws them together like the opposites they are. Together they fall in love. Together they will discover if Belen is truly Hunter’s Arrow.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

HUNTER'S ARROW is an interesting paranormal story. The plot is well thought out and exciting. I enjoyed Hunter, the hero. He's a very sexy alpha-male and I do like 'em like that. However, the heroine was not especially likable. Her line of thought stayed harsh and acidic throughout the book. As a crime reporter she was out to prove herself and it didn't matter how she found her story.

Now with gloves off: the book could use a good editing. Phrases such as "It wasn't cool to her that people died," and "We made a baby," just shouldn't be in any book that people pay money to read.
