I couldn't put down Kimberly Logan's first book in her Daventry Sisters series, the sexy thriller SINS OF MIDNIGHT! It has everything to keep you on the edge of your seat—compelling characters, hot love scenes, and a mystery or two that needs to be solved.

Lady Jillian Daventry is secretly trying to find out who really murdered her mother. She won't rest until she knows the truth and can begin to mend the fabric of her broken family back together again. Connor Monroe is on a similar mission. Not only is he harboring dark family secrets, everyone that he cares for is being murdered in a grizzly fashion. Together, Jillian and Connor embark on an investigation that will bring them together and ignite a fierce passion between them.

I love Lady Jillian! She's a strong, independent woman who, unfortunately, has to tread very carefully as to not disrupt the already fragile life of what's left of her family. It was she and her sister, Maura, who found her mother dead and her father wounded. Their youngest sister witnessed the murder, but is unable to recall what happened. It's up to her to continue her father's work and piece together what happened that dreadful night.

Connor Monroe is the dark and brooding hero, who is instantly attracted to Jillian when he sees her at a ball. Little does he know that he'll be working side-by-side with her! He finally accepts her help after countless attempts to dissuade her from his investigation. The atmosphere around them is thick with sexual tension and things get very hot when they finally release it!!

I enjoyed reading Kimberly Logan's SINS OF MIDNIGHT and would definitely recommend it to your to-be-read list!
