You Only Love Twice by Lori Wilde

Comic-book heroine Angelina Avenger battles dastardly criminals and alien invasions. But her creator Marlie Montague's life isn't as exciting... until Marlie opens the front door and finds the business end of a pistol pointed right at her. Her plan: to channel Angelina fast! Recruiting her new next-door neighbor, who looks like a rock-hard action hero, couldn't hurt either...

The last thing Navy secret agent Joel Hunter expected on this surveillance gig was a luscious brunette bursting through his window. Now he and Marlie are blowing the doors off a full-blown conspiracy with more double agents than a Bond flick. But in between shootouts and squealing tires, the mystery that is Marlie is making Joel's heart go thump thump thump. Is she a femme fatale or an endearing bookworm? And how does she leave him both shaken and stirred?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

YOU ONLY LOVE TWICE has got all the right things going on with a sexy man, a beautiful, silly woman, a crazed psycho killer on the loose and a comic book character that is so over-the-top, I was laughing out loud five pages into the book.

Marlie and Joel have got such a wonderful chemistry that from the first time they meet, sparks are flying everywhere! Marlie is half-naked and running from a mad man, and Joel is half-naked wondering why in the world a woman has broken into his house! Well, with all of the half-nakedness that is taking place in the first chapter of the book, there were tons of sexual tension flying all over the place before I even knew it! When Marlie and Joel partner up to solve a mystery, this story just keeps getting hotter and hotter. Joel is absolutely Mr. Machismo, and Marlie is Lara Croft/Carrie from Sex In The City and doesn't even know it!

YOU ONLY LOVE TWICE is funny, charming and sexy, with tons of action thrown in to keep the reader burning up the pages.
