No Regrets by Annelle White

Years ago, young Jilly Winslow had one true love: Mark Browning. She thought he felt the same, but then he left on a missionary trip and never responded to her letters. Now she's returning to live in her hometown, and must face Mark, as well as his congregation with their six year old son.

When Minister Mark Browning meets up with his long lost love, Jilly, he gets more than just a pleasant surprise. He gets a son he’s never known about. What happened all those years ago that kept their communications from getting through, and could he make it up to them now?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

NO REGRETS is a novella written by Annelle White. It's a contemporary/inspirational about a love lost and then found. It's a smooth and easy read, which is nice to have once and awhile.

Jilly and Mark were high school sweethearts until his parents decided to be mercenaries and whisked him off to Africa. Before he left, he and Jilly shared one night of love together that changed their lives. Although each of them wrote letters back to each other, neither received them. Six years later, Jilly and Mark meet again, and that's when Mark realizes that the one night he spent with Jilly made him a father. Mark wants to be a father and a husband, but Jilly has to overcome emotional issues before she can trust him to not break her heart again. One more thing—whatever happened to all those letters they wrote to each other?

Although the whole premise of this story was good, I would have liked it to be a novel, instead. Ms. White created great characters with issues that should have taken longer to resolve. However, for a novella it achieved its goal—NO REGRETS is a nice story with a happy ending.
