Cassie Edwards is back with the next installment of her Savage series called SAVAGE TEMPEST. In pure Cassie Edwards style, she delivers a romantic and historic story of the Pawnee Indian tribe to her fans. I admire how much research Edwards puts into her books. It definitely shows as you're reading the story. It's what she is good at and it's what her reader's come to expect from her. SAVAGE TEMPEST is the story of the Pawnee tribe's young chieftain, High Hawk. He is loyal, brave, courageous and quite passionate. He is told by his aging father to steal horses and kidnap a white woman to prove his worth to the tribe. He never expected his captive to be a feisty woman living alone in the wilderness. Joylynn Anderson has made a solemn life for herself. After being a rider for the Pony Express, she was savagely attacked and left for dead. Instead of being treated as an outcast, she gathered her belongings and moved into an abandoned cabin in the woods. When she sees the shadow of a man moving past her window, she refuses to be a victim again. Joylynn is no match for a small band of Indians, so she reluctantly leaves with High Hawk and travels with him to his tribe. It doesn't take long, and I mean that quite literally, for them to succumb to their instant attraction towards each other. Both of them are going to have to battle inner demons—and perhaps a live one—in order for them to live happily ever after. SAVAGE TEMPEST has everything that Cassie Edwards fans come to love from her. As predictable as it, it is still a page-turner. Cassie Edwards never seems to stray from her writing style and thus delivers high quality Indian romance to her readers. Julie Kornhausl |
