THE PERFECT SEDUCTION Author: Margo Maguire ISBN: 0060837322 9/2006 HISTORICAL Publisher: AVON
THE PERFECT SEDUCTION is the title of Margo Maguire's new release. It's an ageless romance set in the medieval times. Maguire's flair for telling historical tales of passion shines through in this latest release. Kathryn de St. Marie, a Norman, becomes abducted by Scots and rescued by Edric of Braxton Fell, a Saxon. It is to be known that the Norman and Saxons hold no love for each other. However, Edric brings Kathryn back to his keep until he can figure what to do with her, since he knows that she's keeping her true identity a secret. No sooner does he return to his keep than he gets news that his wife passed away during childbirth. As luck would have it, Kathryn proves to be a proficient wet nurse. Both Edric and Kathryn cannot deny the truth of their physical attraction for one another. It doesn't take too long before he shares her bed at night. Soon everyone finds out that Kathryn and Edric are lovers. Kathryn must decide whether to leave Edric and the baby, or stay on and be known to all as his mistress. Edric has to follow his heart and allow Kathryn to become a part of him, and Kathryn must trust him enough to tell him who she really is. If that isn't enough, there are those who want Kathryn gone and those that want to hurt Edric. The danger that they are in is no match for the love that they are harboring. THE PERFECT SEDUCTION is a perfect book for fans of medieval romances. Although I didn't find it to be an extremely satisfying read, it did have an interesting plot with some very steamy sex scenes. All in all, THE PERFECT SEDUCTION is an entertaining read; however, it just didn't seduce me enough to give it a Top Pick or Four Rose Read. Julie Kornhausl |
