Prince of Fire by Linda Winstead Jones

The firstborn children of the Fyne witches have finally come into their own, each with a special gift...

Despite the prophesies, Keelia, Queen of the Anwyn, would never let a wild Caradon, a man who can shape-shift into a mountain cat, touch her. But when one kidnaps her, mistaking her for the caster of a spell on his people, Keelia realizes she has never been more wrong: Her Caradon captor is the very same lover as in her torrid, recurring dream...

No man alive, Caradon or not, can resist a sensuous Anwyn queen. When Joryn, the Queen's kidnapper, realizes his mistake, the two must work together to undo the wicked spell. Neither can deny the crackling chemistry between them, nor can they deny the ever-looming Prophecy of the Firstborn: She will betray love in the name of victory...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Linda Winstead Jones returns with the next book in her Children of the Sun trilogy, PRINCE OF FIRE. If you enjoyed her first book in the series, PRINCE OF MAGIC, then you are really going to enjoy PRINCE OF FIRE! It begins where the first book ended and if you haven't read the first book, I highly suggest you do so before you begin this one.

Linda Winstead Jones is a masterful storyteller. I am completely captivated by this series. I find PRINCE OF FIRE a more complicated story, both in plot and characters. You really need to pay attention to the story that Jones is telling, and I would suggest trying to read as much of it as you can in each sitting.

In PRINCE OF FIRE, we are introduced to the next set of heroes, Joryn and Keelia. Joryn is on a quest to rid his people of a horrible curse, while Keelia tries to persuade him that she is not the reason behind the curse and that the only way they can rid the land of this spreading evil is to work together. It may sound a bit confusing at first, but the plot and the characters are combined perfectly to make this story flow smoothly from one page to the next.

I really enjoyed Joryn and Keelia's story. PRINCE OF FIRE is a great transition book and it doesn't lack any lull in adventure or romance. Definitely read the PRINCE OF MAGIC first and then engross yourself the PRINCE OF FIRE. Don't hesitate, because the conclusion to this wonderful trilogy, PRINCE OF SWORDS is following closely behind.
