It is her very own uncle who torments the exiled brothers, plaguing them with creatures, and who seeks to kill them to secure their ancestral inheritance for himself.

But confessing her uncle's plan to the brothers will put them at even greater risk, for their resistance against the evil mage has stirred his wrath. Alys fears her uncle is determined this time to exterminate the brothers once and for alldestroying the star-crossed lovers as well...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Well, I got my wish. THE WOLF, the second installment of the novels featuring the Sons of Destiny, is much more engaging and magical than its predecessor, THE SWORD. It explains a lot more, too, which really makes me want to read the next one.

I admit my expectations of these books are still high because I truly think the premise is unique—the eight brothers cursed (or blessed) with a seer prediction of their fate in a riddle that is, quite literally, fun and scary. So, I am very glad that so far as they go along, they seem to be getting better. Even though I am not to the Top Pick category yet, I think I will be.

I know there is a man on the Isle for every type of woman, but I honestly can't wait to read about the last brother to be wed, Morganen. He deserves a crazy story and I hope he gets it!
