Wow! From page one of LAIRD OF THE MIST, I was completely amazed at the talent of Paula Quinn!

When Callum "the Devil" MacGregor comes upon a beautiful woman about to be struck down in the midst of a battle, he can do no other but save her life. This proud, gorgeous Highland warrior cannot just watch her be struck down, even though he has no idea who she is or what she is doing engaging in battle! Even when she accidentally stabs him and runs her mouth incessantly, Callum cannot help but be beguiled by this fierce little woman who would dare to cross him. She is supposed to be his enemy, but his heart is saying something completely different.

Kate Campbell is the bravest woman that I have ever had the pleasure to read about. She is not afraid of anything, at least not on the outside, and taking on a man that is called The Devil does not even phase her. For her fight is a battle of life and death, and she is not going down without a fight. She is spunky, beautiful and shows no weakness to her enemies... even if the one she should hate above all is battering away at her defenses.

Kate and Callum are scalding hot sexiness at it's best! They are both fiery, passionate, courageous people, and it is those characteristics that give this couple all of their appeal... Well, that, and the fact that Callum is HOT. Well, at least he sounds hot!

The addition of Callum's men in this book is priceless. Every last one of them adds something special and when they all come together to protect "their" woman, they are a force to be reckoned with!
