It was an eerie howling in the night that only she could hear. As always, tragedy soon followed. This time, Letty Wolf would obey the teachings of her Kiowa heritage and bring back to New York her three estranged daughters…before it was too late.
MEREDITH
Raised in fancy Eastern boarding schools, she was determined to return to the land of her birth—Texas. But no sooner had she set foot on native soil than she was caught up in a whirlwind of mayhem, missing money bags and mysterious animal attacks. The only calm in the storm was Trace Stringer, who had tracked Meredith down with a summons from her mother. Letty offered powerful inducements to come home, and she'd sent an even more powerful man to escort her. In Trace’s arms Meredith began to believe love might be possible, even for the child of a woman haunted by the past. |
RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
SIGN OF THE WOLF, the latest release from Elaine Barbieri, left me extremely disappointed. The plot was very redundant for her, slow and overly dramatic. I think she could have been more original and come up with a new story. I would not suggest this book to another individual who is familiar with Barbieri's work. It was like I have already read this story before, just with different character names. The love story was also very weak and could have been elaborated. This was a very difficult read for me.
