Jade Lee is back with the next book in her Tigress series called CORNERED TIGRESS. Lee finally writes Little Pearl's story, and it is one that I've been waiting to read. I have a great appreciation for Jade Lee's Tigress series, since I've had the pleasure to read all of them. I do recommend reading her previous books, before you read CORNERED TIGRESS. Although it stands alone, by reading the other books, you will gain a better understanding of the unique storyline Lee has created and you will also gain a better understanding of the Tigress rituals and practices. I will say, however, that this book explains it the best, but I still suggest reading the other two books, BURNING TIGRESS and DESPERATE TIGRESS first.

CORNERED TIGRESS is for the romance reader who is looking for something different and unique to read. First off, the locale is out of the ordinary, taking place in China during the late 1800's. Secondly, it is an erotic read, and the sexual practices between the Tigresses and their men are risqué. Finally, CORNERED TIGRESS is not the type of book to be read in a hurry. Lee has a gift for writing intricate details and descriptions in her books, so this is not a book to sit and read hastily.

Lee pairs Tigress instructor Little Pearl and Englishman Jonas Storm together to free her mister and mistress, and to destroy General Tang and the even more dangerous Su Jian Lie to achieve that goal. While being paired together, Little Pearl discovers that Jonas is the man to help bring her to Enlightenment. To accomplish Enlightenment and Immortality, it must be attained through sexual ecstasy. As danger lurks all around them, Jonas and Little Pearl go on a spiritual and sexual journey that will take them to where they have never gone before.

Jade Lee's CORNERED TIGRESS may not be for every romance reader, but I enjoyed it! If you like exotic locales, erotic love scenes and a unique plot, then CORNERED TIGRESS is just the book for you!
