What I love most about the Charlie's Angels in Regency England series is that Peterson developed heroines that are intelligent, independent, loyal and trustworthy. They fact that they are three of England's greatest spies adds even more charm to their character. The loyalty and love these women have for each other is profound, and DESIRE NEVER DIES is the perfect example of the depth of their friendship.

Lady Anastasia Whittig, a widower of five years, is one of the enigmatic female spies for England. She is a genius inventor and code-breaker who shuns society and is dedicated to her work. When a tragic accident places her on the field and partnered with the devilishly handsome and master spy extraordinaire, Lucas Tyler, Anastasia has no choice but to reenter society.

Lucas Tyler is instantly taken with Anastasia. He recognizes her intelligence, her beauty, her charm, and also the sadness that hides behind her eyes.
