Love in the Fast Lane by Jenna McKnight

Have ghost, will travel.

Scott Templeton lives for the adrenaline rush, but when the ghost of a legendary race car driver suddenly appears in the passenger seat next to him, it sends Scott literally into a tailspin. Now he can't convince the guy to head toward the light and stop haunting him, not until Scott promises to make a special delivery.

Maggie Cooper has a five-year plan that involves making executive VP with a corner office and a salary that will cause a grown man to weep. What it doesn't involve is a high-speed hotshot who claims her dead father sent him. She doesn't care how charming Scott is, or how he seems to devour her with his eyes, or even how her shotgun-toting grandmother is playing matchmaker. Maggie is determined to resist, but Scott is just as determined to convince her that loving him is worth the risk.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Scott Templeton has seriously gone off the deep end. He has lost all of his friends, his job, even his girlfriends run from him when he starts talking to ghosts in the sack. He has seemingly turned into a total mental case—and all because he cannot seem to rid himself of a ghost that has attached itself to him and his new car engine. Larry will not leave until Scotty returns the engine to it's rightful owner—that person being his daughter Maggie. I have to give it to Scotty; he held out for as long as he possibly could before driving across the country to drop off this "gift" to Larry's family.

Maggie Cooper is so sick of all the crazies that have been stopping by her house for years dropping off "gifts" from her dead father. To make matters worse, she is on her way to Chicago to interview for a new job and be with the man she believes she loves when Scotty makes his surprise appearance. Having no time and no patience to deal with Scott—or Larry, for that matter—Maggie is determined to get them both out of her house, one way or another. When being outright rude to Scott doesn't seem to do the trick, she decides that she will help him to get him gone faster. That is when things start to heat up.

LOVE IN THE FAST LANE is fun, fearless reading that will raise your heart rate a notch or two. Maggie and Scott have sparks oozing off of the pages and had me burning the candle at both ends just to get to their happily-ever-after.
