She finds herself on a deserted island with one other survivor, the rich and powerful, Scott Vanderhorne. Katie and Scott must work closely together to survive.

Scott has a fiancee back at home, but he can not fight the attraction he feels for Katie. Katie does not want to be the woman that comes between Scott and his fiancee, but the longer they are on the island, the greater the temptation becomes. When it looks as though they may not be rescued, they begin to give in to their feelings. What will happen when they return to civilization?

This entertaining read will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions as two characters fight the attraction that is pulling them together. Hard working, middle class Katie and rich, powerful Scott find that they have more in common than they could have ever imagined. The most important thing they share is love.

Katie is an amazing character. She is strong. Her skills and strength help them to survive. Her vulnerability comes from her past and she does not ever want to be hurt again. When she finds herself drawn to Scott, she fights with everything she has not to give in to the attraction. Here is a woman that loves with her whole heart and is easily hurt. Her ex-fiance left her with a very low opinion of herself. She is a fun-loving, lively character. When she was happy, I found myself smiling along with her. When she was sad or angry, these feelings too were strongly felt. I quickly became attached to Katie and found myself hoping that she would find a way to be happy.

Scott is handsome, quick-witted, and fun loving. He fights the attraction he feels for Katie trying to be faithful to his fiancee back home. The longer they are on the island, the weaker his will to resist becomes. He finds himself falling in love with Katie and realizes that it is more than just the physical attraction. I loved the fact he tried to be loyal to his fiance. I found him brave and loyal, a man hard to resist. Somehow Scott and Katie will have to find a way to be together.

SHIPWRECKED by Ashley Ladd, is a wonderful good time that will have you laughing along with the characters. Emotions are strong as the characters work through mistakes and misunderstandings to discover the type of love that lasts forever. This is a very hot and steamy romance that is filled with extreme passion. All of this and a little excitement added along the way, make SHIPWRECKED by Ashley Ladd, a definite keeper.
