Tag, You're It by Penny McCall

The frigid Rocky Mountain air is nothing compared to the chill between a gorgeous scientist and a hardened FBI agent. But out in the middle of nowhere, all it takes is body heat to melt the snow...

Alex Scott has been doing just fine on her own, studying mountain lions and living alone in a log cabin seventy-five miles from anywhere. The last thing she needs is some cocky guy, even one with looks to die for, falling from the sky...

All FBI Agent Tag Donovan wants is to find the mobster who killed his partner. But when he finds himself pushed off a low-flying plane, only to land facedown in the snow in a hail of bullets, survival is the one thing on his mind. Until he gets a good look at the beauty who drags him to safety.

Ignoring each other isn't going to work when there's no one else around—especially when Alex could be the key to solving Tag's mystery. And though Tag's aching body wants nothing but bed rest, Alex's smoky voice makes him think of more exciting uses for the bed. And the table. And—well, after all, he's no snow angel...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

What a thrilling ride! McCall, author of ALL JACKED UP, delivers another romantic suspense that is action-packed and fun with TAG, YOU'RE IT.

Alex Scott is a zoologist who is in Colorado studying mountain lions, when a man literally falls out of a plane in front of her. Tag Donovan is a FBI agent, under cover, and up to his neck in trouble. Unknowingly, he drags Alex deep into cover and trouble with him.

Alex is carrying around a ton of emotional baggage and a chip larger than Texas on her shoulder. She is tough as nails, a debutante, and a former Miss USA. However, she is exactly what Tag Donovan needs, regardless if he acknowledges it or not. With a horse named Jackass, a town of crazy folks and a hunt for a lost treasure, this book delivers from the first page.

I laughed, I sat on the edge of my seat in suspense, and I related to the main characters. I enjoyed McCall's first book, ALL JACKED UP, but this latest novel is even better. For a new voice in romantic suspense, she promises a reader all of the elements needed for a grand read. This is a book I will probably read again and would not hesitate to pass it on.
