Dry Moon by Karyna DaRosa

Forces of nature.
Faced with a scheming cattle baron and an unrelenting drought, Cassie Taylor struggles to keep her irrigation company from the brink of ruin.

Heated passions.
After a run-in with a dangerous drifter sets her body on fire and her world on a tailspin, Cassie must learn to trust a man with no ties, and even fewer loyalties, if she's to defend what's rightfully hers.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Karyna Da Rosa's debut book, DRY MOON, is an impressive story set in the Old West. At a time when western romances are few and far between, it was a breath of fresh air (so to say) to read a book about gunslingers, ranch hands and sexy cowboys! Thank you, Karyna Da Rosa, for writing a western romance that inspired me to slap on my cowboy hat and boots!

I have to admit that as much as I enjoyed reading DRY MOON, I found some of the plot to be a bit predictable and it took a bit of an effort to really like Cassie and Mitchell. The reason being is because they are both extremely stubborn and hardheaded individuals, who have everything and nothing to prove to each other at the same time. Aside from those few issues, I really enjoyed Da Rosa's DRY MOON, and if you're a fan of western romance, I think you will, too.

Cassie is a strong and independent woman; she has to be in order to deal with the rough and tumble men who answer to her now. These men don't like having a female in charge of their water supply, especially one man in particular—Barrington. This man is evil and he is dangerous! Sounds like there needs to be a man to put him in his place!

Enter sexy Cole Mitchell. He may start out to work for Barrington, but it doesn't take him long to realize what scum Barrington really is. Cole manages to save Cassie's life, and thus begins their tumultuous relationship.

DRY MOON has a great cast of characters. I'll say that Da Rosa can sure write villains that are down right despicable! I don't want to forget to mention the kind and caring characters, either. Lil, in particular, is a kind-hearted soul who just happens to be Cole's sister and the owner of the boardinghouse that ends up housing Cassie and her maid.

Where there's a hot cowboy, there's gonna be some hot sex! Giddy Up! Cole and Cassie heat up the pages when they're together! I have to admit that they may not be the most romantic couple ever, but it's still a turn on to see them finally succumb to their passion.

DRY MOON by Karyna Da Rosa, is a well-written and very enjoyable western romance. A recommended read, especially if you like the rough and tumble of the Old West!
