For Her Pleasure by Maya Banks

What a woman needs...
It was a nice setup: One spirited woman like Kit Townsend and two buddies like Rydcr and Mac. Kit never did follow the rules—especially nonsense like "three's a crowd." So, for a while, everything was easy and hot—a no-strings threesome in and out of the bedroom. Kit never thought she'd be giving Mac the edge. And Ryder never dreamcd he'd secretly be head over heels for Kit. When love puts a kink in sex, is there such a thing as a happy ending?

What a woman craves...
Mia Nichols was a sweet Dallas girl with big dreams for the future when she first met Texas Ranger Jack Kincaid. A lot has changed since that fairy tale. Framed for drug possession, Mia's now being forced to work undercover at a strip joint where several girls have disappeared into the sex-slave underworld. Then, into the club walks Jack, who's got one more chance to prove himself as Mia's protector, savior and lover...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Maya Banks' new release, FOR HER PLEASURE, is a book not for the faint of heart. This erotic release is for the more hardcore readers of erotica because there are many scenes which include threesomes, explicit and graphic sex, and brutality and near brutality against woman. Although I believe Banks to be a talented author, this book wasn't an enjoyable read for me and I found myself struggling to read it on many occasions.

The first and second stories in FOR HER PLEASURE deal with the intricate relationship between Kit, Mac and Ryder. I prefer my romance to be narrowed down to just one man and woman, so this threesome just did not work for me.

The last story called What She Craves, centers around the on-again, off-again relationship between Mia Nichols and Texas Ranger Jack Kincaid. Jack and Mia have a long history together. He saved her from a life of drug use and she fell in love with him. He ended up leaving her due to an undercover drug sting and her life fell apart. Now he returns to find her only a shell of her former self. This story was okay; what kept the story flowing from page to page was the attraction and the obvious care they had for each other.

Unfortunately, Maya Banks' FOR HER PLEASURE was just not much of a pleasure for me to read.
