I started smiling when I opened to page one of this book and couldn't stop the grin until I finished the last page. UNDERCOVER IN HIGH HEELS captured me and I couldn't put it down.

Characters introduced in prior installments return, including Maddie's best friend and aspiring actress, Dana, her mom and new "faux dad", Ralph. Maddie's romance with L.A. cop Jack Ramirez heats up, and they take their relationship a step further. Readers not familiar with this series will be able to read this one and not feel completely lost, but I feel obligated to mention that the story is much more enjoyable after reading the previous tales.

Ms. Halliday has hit the jackpot with her combination of sassy sleuthing and sexy romance with this series. Readers looking for a fabulous romantic mystery should definitely put UNDERCOVER IN HIGH HEELS (and the rest in the series) on their shopping lists. After three hilarious installments, all I have to say is how long do I have to wait until the next one?
