PAIN

A shocking betrayal... her father's murder... and a life-threatening accusation... Heiress Charlotte Court has walked into a waking nightmare—one that sends her running from her wealthy home to anywhere she can hide.

PANIC

Across the border in Mexico, Charlotte creates a new identity and finds refuge in the battle-torn arms of Navy SEAL Matt Sanders. Fleeing his past, Matt yearns to protect her and replace her pain with pleasure. But Charlotte can't trust anyone, not even someone she's starting to love. She knows she's a target—and out of sight, a soulless killer is zeroing in on his prey...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

If you are a chocolate fanatic, think hot fudge sundae with an extra helping of hot fudge sauce... and maybe an extra swirl of whipped cream on top. PURSUIT is THAT extra helping of hot fudge sauce AND the extra whipped cream. Ms. Jennings has created one of the best romances I have read in, well, many a moon. She has gone the extra mile to give readers a love so pure, a chemistry so electric, these two characters practically leap off the pages of PURSUIT.

Despite the difference in backgrounds and social standing, Charlotte Court and the extremely hunky, warrior-type Matt Sanders forge a bond so elemental, so sweet, so hot, they connect with each other even before they officially meet. Ms. Jennings does a superb job with these two wounded souls and with their more than special romance.

In addition, there are not a lot of secondary characters in PURSUIT to take time away from Charlotte and Matt. Aside from the determined hit man pursuing Charlotte and the nasty guy who hired him, Ms. Jennings spends a great deal of time focusing on the two main characters.

The shocking developments of the opening pages are guaranteed attention grabbers, while the developing romance lend PURSUIT a breathless pace. The exciting suspense spliced within the compelling romance will keep readers hooked.

Despite a maybe tad bit anti-climatic and rather rushed ending, PURSUIT is an undeniable treat. Or maybe I just wasn't ready for this terrific story to end. Regardless, Ms. Jennings' romantic suspense is highly recommended. Her love story is tremendous, the suspense is thrilling. The two combine to give readers an outstanding reading experience.
