I absolutely love this werewolf/shape-shifter world that Karen Macinerney has created for us with ON THE PROWL. I was glued to every last page of this book, for good reason! Sophie is irresistible, her energy and courage making every page of this book unforgettable.

When it is found out that Sophie is a lone werewolf living in another pack’s territory, there is hell to pay for Sophie Garou. Not only is it unheard of for a were to not have a pack, but these are werewolves we are talking about—essentially dogs. They don’t want anyone in an area that they have already “marked”. So, of course, the only thing to do is either kill Sophie outright, or make her their little sacrificial lamb.

Sophie is funny, smart, pretty, and completely in touch with her own mortality. She knows that there are some big, bad wolves out there; wolves that are much bigger than her and may just eat her for breakfast if she doesn't do what she's told. So what's a girl to do? She puts on her big, werewolf panties and gets going on the adventure of her lifetime, complete with three wannabe werewolves; a hottie werewolf that is completely off-limits for her; and a gorgeous and eligible man who is definitely NOT what he seems! To top it all off, Sophie is having nothing but problems with her actual boyfriend Heath and feels terrible that her problems are taking such a toll on their relationship.

ON THE PROWL is a well-written, fast-paced, hilarious joyride of a book. This is one werewolf story that is not to be missed! I am delighted that I found this new series and author Karen MacInerney to add to my "keeper" shelves!
