Warrior by Angela Knight

In the twenty-third century, time travel is no longer just a flight of fancy. Tourists, historians, and criminals can leap through time at will. To police the time Jumpers, the Temporal Enforcement Agency has established a precinct in time, tucked away in the Georgia mountains.

Galar Arvid, a genetically altered Warlord and agent, has been sent back to 2008 to save a pretty pretty Atlanta artist from a Xeran time traveler who intends to kill her for profit. What Galar doesn't count on is the powerful desire Jessica Kelly ignites in him. But could a romance between them ever work? A two-hundred-year chasm separates them, and even if they dart through time, there's still a maniacal killer on their tail...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

Wow. Well, will wonders never cease.  I started WARRIOR not sure what I would think because it is a futuristic time travel, but I ended it absolutely loving Angela Knight!  This book has it all, and I am thrilled that I was given the opportunity to review this book and see first hand what all the hype over Angela Knight was!

Galar is one hottie and a half.  He lives in a totally different world—literally.  He is from the 23rd century where there is such a thing as time jumping and computers in the brain and battleborgs, that to me, are like 23rd century-style Jasons or Freddie.  See, the thing is this—time jumping is common and used all the time; it's as easy as stepping from inside your front door to the front yard.  And so it is that Galar is sent back in time to 2008 to save the beautiful spitfire, Jessica Kelly, from murderers who have time jumped just to kill her.

Jessica Kelly is one kick-butt female.  If I had a 23rd century creature from the Tales From the Crypt trying to kill me, I probably would be curled up in a corner crying my eyes out, begging him not to hurt me.  Not only does she not cower from this thing, she fights it head on and doesn't stop, even when she is horribly wounded and in need of desperate help.  Enter Galar.  He is everything that a savior should be and she feels safe with him—his arms are a safe haven for her.

Together, Jessica and Galar embark on a time traveling adventure to stop a killer. This little adventure felt like it should've come off more Sci-Fi but strangely didn't, which I was happy about.  I'm not much of a Sci-Fi fan, but I am a huge time traveler at heart.  And the sex appeal between these two characters—yummy from the minute they meet.

Angela Knight is a great writer and even though I was a little put off by the computers in the brains, I could honestly say that WARRIOR is one of the best books that I have read all summer long.  I am so excited that I found a new series with the Time Hunters, and I am going to run out and purchase all the other books in this series!
