Making Over Mr. Right by Judi McCoy

What is it about a computer geek trapped inside the body of a tall,
dark, and handsome man that makes a woman's knees go weak?

Theo Maragos is actually an incredibly successful businessman who is to be featured in a major magazine. And it's Zoë's job as the Muse of Beauty to transform him from nerd to hunk. First to go are those wire-framed glasses ... revealing a devilish twinkle in his blue eyes. Next is a close shave ... showing off that sexy grin, not to mention dimples that can charm the
clothes off this muse. It would be so easy to fall for Theo, but the number-one rule during Zoë's exile from Mount Olympus is don't fall in love, especially with a mortal. Will Zoë succeed in keeping her heart safe, or will she risk all for a lifetime with her very own Mr. Right.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT by Judi McCoy is wonderfully clever, delightfully witty and romantic.

Zoe is the Muse of Beauty, Zeus' daughter sent from Mount Olympus to earth to find a way to enhance the lives of mortals through appearance or design. Her two sisters, Kyra and Chloe, each have their own missions to accomplish. Zeus has given them one year to achieve their goals, or to be forced to endure a fate worse than death. The one stipulation is that they must not fall in love while on their missions. Dalliances are allowed. Love is not.

After almost a year on earth, Zoe knows that the next few weeks will decide her fate. She is determined to satisfy Zeus' challenge, even if it means getting down and dirty. Theo Maragos is a dreamy, successful man whose lack of style is almost scary. He tracks Zoe down and asks her to be the designer for his apartment. He is on a tight schedule which just happens to coincide with Zoe's own God-imposed timeframe.

MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Zoe and Theo are a perfect match, even without Zeus' challenge. The secondary characters, especially Theo's father, come to life on the pages. Every bit of dialogue is sharp and on-target, and the New York setting gives this story an edge that helps bring it even more vividly to life. I loved every minute of this story. My only complaint is that it ended much too quickly-not because the story wasn't told perfectly. It was. I just enjoyed Judi McCoy's writing style and stellar storytelling ability so much that I could have read on for hours! I will definitely look for this author's earlier work.

Although I'm not going to give anything away, I will tell you that in the end we do find out how all three sisters fare. To find out, though, you're going to have to read MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT for yourself. Believe me, you won't be sorry! This book is a hoot!
