It is always a pleasure to pick up a review book by a brand-new-to-me author and be completely blown away by the story she tells.

Laurell has a job to fulfill here on Earth—a job she never thought was possible, let alone handmade for HER. Laurell is understandably quite beside herself when this tall, gorgeous stranger whisks her right out of her own driveway. The fact that from the moment she meets him, she cannot keep her hands off of him, makes her just a teensy bit beside herself, as well!

Axiom is our hero’s name. What a great name for a god. He is the strong, silent type…and oh, so Alpha. I love a man like that. He is on Earth to fulfill his destiny, and that is all it is—or so he tells himself. Once he has completed his mission, he will be leaving. For him, it is a journey a lifetime in the making, but for Laurell it is sheer hell letting him go.

I am completely in love with the world that Elissa Wilds has created in BETWEEN LIGHT AND DARK. The idea of beings that are neither light nor dark, but something in between, is a great take on the paranormal genre! And to create an Earth Balancer and a chosen person to be the mother of that balancer—the entire storyline is fascinating, and I loved every minute of it!
