Night Shadow by Cherry Adair

Aside from working for T-FLAC (and having the same last name), Lexi Stone and Alex Stone are polar opposites, right down to Lexi’s mere mortality and Alex’s paranormal powers. And though Lexi disdains Alex’s rule-breaking bravado, she can’t ignore how his roguish charm makes her heart race.

But Lexi’s secret desires clash head-on with her duties when suspicions arise that Alex is poised to switch sides and join forces with a European terrorist cell. Lexi is now assigned to shadow his every move, but her task becomes even tougher when Lexi and Alex suddenly find themselves partnered on an emergency mission in Russia. To stop the rise of a superhuman terrorist threat, Lexi and Alex must work as a well-oiled team, with lethal shadows looming behind them and no one to trust but each other.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

Lexi Stone is working on her first mission as a T-FLAC operative.  Of course, she needs things to go smoothly and without a hitch; and of course, things go haywire on the poor woman as soon as her feet hit the ground!  The worst of all of it is that the man/wizard she is supposed to observe and possibly kill is gorgeous, charming when he wants to be, and sets her blood on fire!!

Alexander Stone is on a T-FLAC mission that involves watching Lexi Stone—the new TFLAC operative—and making sure that she is able to do her job.  He has no idea that she is also observing him to make sure he hasn't gone rogue.   And to add to all of this crazy mix of who's watching who, Alex’s powers are going wild and shorting out when he needs them the most!   He also has no idea that their little partnership is about  to take them traveling across the world on a dangerous mission trying to figure out who is making an army of clones.  Clones that turn into soot when they are killed.

Alex and Lexi's romance is as fast paced and hot as this book!  On the fly and on the run, both the book and the couple kept me turning page after page.  I love everything that Cherry Adair writes, and I couldn't have been happier with the way she chose to end this trilogy!
