Trouble in High Heels by Leanne Banks

Heiress Lori Granger looks like a million bucks—and is famous for giving much of her fabulous fortune away. But her generosity has outstripped her checkbook, and not even her glamorous image and come-hither eyes can save her now. Certainly not with Jackson James in the picture...

Hired by her dad's estate to control her spending, this CPA with linebacker shoulders and gray flannel suits invades her space, insults her dog, and refuses to loosen his grip on her trust fund. Worse, he seems immune to her charms—unless she's close enough to kiss. Not a man to cross the line with a client, even when the attraction is hotter than a pair of Lori's highest sling backs, Jackson agrees to help her find a husband to fulfill a condition of her father's will. Yet sharing her dreams with him makes Lori wonder: Could this infuriating Mr. Straight be the one to make them all come true?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

Leanne Banks has done it again. TROUBLE IN HIGH HEELS is pure fun, one of those feel-good romances that leaves the reader smiling. I loved the characters, and the plot fairly sails along.

Jackson James is the kind of guy any woman would like to find. Hard-working, handsome and intelligent, he’s finally been made a junior partner in his CPA firm. The promotion is all he’s dreamed of—but it does come with an added responsibility. He’s charged with bringing one of the firms most high profile accounts into some semblance of firm financial control. Namely, he is in charge of bringing a deceased client’s daughter’s out of control spending into line. Jackson has only seen photos of the pretty woman in newspapers. He has no experience with spoiled socialites—or their pets. But he is determined to do whatever it takes to prove that he is the man for this job, and sets about taming the untamable heiress.

This is a romantic romp that shows that, in the end, one’s true personality dictates one’s future. And, despite what others may think, or parents may predict, there is no way to know what will happen when the heart takes over. The best thing to do, as this author shows so well, is sit back and enjoy the ride. Well done!
