I learned a new word when I cracked this book open! It’s not actually in the novel, but in some of the reviews of the international release—bonkbuster. I’m guessing it means a “big” book with a lot of sex, which is a good description of Olivia Darling’s novel.
VINTAGE tells the story of three different women, a chambermaid/prostitute in London, a French banker who lives in London, and an American supermodel, who become small winery owners, their wine critic supporters, lovers, friends, and enemies. Though a long novel, it never lags and is highly entertaining despite the occasional requisite cheesiness.
If you need an escapist read, give this bloody good yarn a try! You’ll find it as effervescent as champagne.
