Silent Night, Haunted Night bye Terri Garey

All I haunt for Christmas is you . . .

Joe Bascombe is no stranger to desire, but when a sexy spirit begins haunting his dreams, he finds himself ensnared by dark passions. What he doesn't realize is that the devious demon and her two sisters, otherwise known as the Three Fates, are out to teach the woman he loves a lesson. . .

Unwilling psychic Nicki Styx survived a near-death experience to find herself able to see and hear the dead, but she only has eyes for Joe. Together they've conquered evil spirits, saved lost souls, and beaten back the Devil himself, but they're about to learn that there are more things in Heaven and Hell than they ever imagined. As far as Nicki is concerned, Joe is the man of her dreams, but now they're at the mercy of the creature who's invaded his.

It'll be a Christmas to remember . . . and it could be Joe and Nicki's last.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

I enjoy Niki Styx adventures, but SILENT NIGHT, HAUNTED NIGHT is not quite as good as the rest. It is a bit slow, and a whole lot of stress is put on Niki's relationship with Joe that I am not quite comfortable with. I am all for the drama and tension that keeps the romantic relationship tight, but this time it feels like much more than that.

It seems as though Niki's word should be good for something to her boyfriend Joe and best friend Evan. After all, they know she has unique gifts, and loving her as they do I would think their first instinct would be to support and believe in her. Before Joe is in the grip of the incubus, he is dismissing Niki's feelings, which put me off right away. I suppose that is why I have a problem with the story. Well, that, and a few other things, but I cannot say them without spoiling the rest of the book.

As I said before, I like Niki so I want to find out what happens in her life. So just because I didn't particularly like this chapter of it, doesn't mean I won't care for the follow up.
